Annual TLV education seminar: what are we trying to achive?
(AJAP) — Another year has passed, and the time has come for our American AJAP leaders to conduct an annual education seminar in Tel Aviv, a much anticipated and exciting event for both the organizers and the attendees. And this September Israeli capital did not disappoint: we got the best venue possible at the ZOA house, right in the center of Tel Aviv. Over 100 attendees signed up for the event.
Speakers were Gene Carroll and Russ Sherwood, the president and the VP of AJAP, who flew over to Israel just for this event. The seminar, as always, was free. Funds for the seminar were kindly donated by our corporate sponsors (aerocadet.com, dronesurvey.biz, raichaerospace.com and air-ferry.com), and some private individuals. We served coffee, light refreshments and a lot of useful information to all the participants, from 10 am until 1 pm. Session consisted of a short presentation on the current AJAP goals, the aerospace industry as a whole, the upcoming pilot and aviation technician deficit over the next 20 years and a choice of flight training programs available for those who wish to pursue a serious career in aviation.
The speakers also touched upon the challenges which Israeli pilots face in the industry, including employment options around the Word and at domestic airlines, such as El-Al.
We thank you all for attending and are looking forward to serving our community next year, at the 2018 TLV educational seminar!
